We are excited to bring you the v0.0.8a update for QANGA. This patch includes Halloween-themed content, performance optimizations, new features, and a wide range of bug fixes.
🎃 Halloween Content 🎃
- Halloween Items: A new pumpkin-head item is now available for purchase in the Refuel Tower shops.
- Halloween Decorations: Enjoy the festive Halloween atmosphere across the game world!
⚙️ Performance Optimizations ⚙️
- Global Optimizations: Enhanced performance through improvements in shadows, lighting, shaders, and StaticMesh rendering.
- Minimap Optimization: Increased performance and load times for the minimap.
- Level Loading Optimization: Improved level loading parameters for smoother transitions.
🛠 UI and Controls Improvements 🛠
- Save & Scalability Changes: The save file for scalability settings has been renamed, and a new button allows you to re-trigger shader optimization.
- Logical Key Binding Order: The control settings layout has been updated for easier navigation.
- Mission & Contract Tracker Visibility: Improved mission and contract tracker visibility on the screen's edges.
- Fuel Feedback UI: Enhanced UI feedback on fuel consumption for spacecraft.
🆕 New Features 🆕
- Ship Velocity Indicators: Added a 3D arrow and 2D target icon to display ship velocity in space.
- Cruise Control & Velocity Mode: New ship speed control with cruise control and manual velocity switch, accessible via input settings.
- Missile & Enemy Tracking Feedback: Enhanced missile and enemy feedback on ships with radial indicators and improved icon visibility.
- Fuel Consumption Sampling: Fuel consumption is now measured based on linear input acceleration.
- Tethered Aim Switch: Added an input to switch between tethered and locked aiming for spacecraft.
- Group/Clan Chats: Now supports group and clan communication channels.
- Item Rarity Multiplier: Item rarity now influences the price as a multiplier.
- Trade System: Introduced a new trading system.
- Auto-Spawning Flying Enemies: Flying enemies now spawn automatically (currently limited to Velkara) with adjustable frequency in the settings.
🐛 Bug Fixes 🐛
- Ship Feedback: Resolved an issue with ship machine gun feedback.
- Server Build Filter: Corrected the server list filter to handle different builds.
- Tutorial Step Completion: Fixed the tutorial progression to complete only when items are added to inventory.
- Ship Control Fixes: Yaw control for ships adjusted (requires input reset by players).
- Explorer Door State: Fixed an issue where the Explorer’s middle door wouldn’t stay open.
- Bandages Values: Adjusted item values for bandages.
- Connection Bug: Fixed a bug causing players to disconnect.
- Inventory Drag & Drop: Resolved various issues with item drag-and-drop in the inventory.
- Vehicle Camera Flip: Corrected auto camera flip behavior for upside-down vehicles.
- Ship HUD Enhancements: Fixed ship boost and speed indicators, as well as the HUD’s horizon line alignment with rotation.
- Ship Damage Handling: Fixed an issue where ships weren’t receiving damage in some cases.
🔧 Other Adjustments 🔧
- Auto Input Reset: Automatic input reset popup added when build ID changes are required.
- Admin Improvements: Enhanced features and feedback in the /admin UI.
- Vehicle Angle Control: Disabled hovercraft angle control by input to prevent unintended angles.
- Camera Flip on Vehicles: Added upside-down camera flip setup on additional vehicles.
- Vehicle Color Palette: Limited vehicle skin colors to a static palette.
- Auto Backup: Implemented automatic backup in case of write failures.
